HOW DO I FREEZE MY MEMBERSHIP?
Our freeze policy permits you to freeze your membership, once per year, for a minimum of one (1) month and a maximum of three (3) consecutive months for a fee of $10 per month, payable in advance. If you are within your first year of membership, you will be charged regularly monthly dues until you meet your contract, then you will be charged the freeze charge (depending on the length of the freeze you require). Longer term medical freezes are possible with a letter from your doctor.
I’M PREGNANT AND WOULD LIKE TO FREEZE MY MEMBERSHIP…
Congratulations! If your doctor feels that for medical reasons, you are unable to use the club while pregnant, a medical freeze will be granted for up to nine (9) months with a doctor’s letter. Please provide a letter from your doctor at the time you request the freeze. You will be not required to pay a freeze fee; Getfit waives the fee for medical freezes.
HOW DO I CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP?
We are sorry to see you go! If there’s anything we can do to help you stay, please let us know. You may cancel by giving the amount of notice required by your agreement. Cancel in-club by speaking to a manager, filling out a cancellation form, and paying the remainder of your financial commitment. You will get a receipt to show that your cancellation process is complete. If you are unable to come into the club, you can cancel by sending a letter via registered mail. We will then cancel your membership based on the amount of days’ notice defined by your agreement, collect the remainder of your financial commitment, and stop your billing.
Relocation: If you relocate more than 25 miles away from FITNESS FACTORY, you may cancel your membership with proof that you have relocated: a utility bill, lease/deed, or letter from your HR department.
Medical: If your doctor deems you unable to use the club for more than six (6) months, please provide a letter from your doctor to a club manager. You will be taken through the cancellation process. Specific medical reasons are not required from your doctor. The letter simply needs to state that you are unable to exercise. If you cannot come to the club in-person, please mail the doctor’s letter to the club, and include your contact information.
CAN I CANCEL MY ACCOUNT ONLINE?
No. All memberships must be cancelled in-person or via registered mail.
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FREEZING AND CANCELLING MY MEMBERSHIP?
A freeze is ideal if you know how long you will be gone. For example, if you are traveling for 2 months or are recovering from an injury that should be healed in 6 months, a freeze will work for you. (Medical freezes require a doctor’s letter.)
